1.     When did you start playing and what instrument did you start on and what do you play now

    I Started playing when I was 8 year old on cornet (now in my 50th year) and played French Horn in school orchestra at the same time. Eventually Cornet and Brass Bands took over.

1989

         Solo Cornet

Carrick Amateur Silver Band (now CWA Brass) and

          Third Carrickfergus Band

 

5.     Favourite personal banding memories or stories

 

Winning the 4th Section in Pontins Southport by 6 points with Third Carrickfergus

Representing N. Ireland with 1st Old Boys on the World Premier of Tallis Variations at the European Championships in Birmingham Symphony Hall conducted by Dick the Stick Richard Evans.

Life doesn’t get much sweeter!
